There are two major airports in the region: Bari Palese (BRI) in the city of Bari and Brindisi Casale (BDS) in the city of Brindisi. From most major US cities you will need to first fly to Milan or Rome then take a connecting flight.

Puglia is predominantly an agricultural region, with over 50 million olive trees that produce around 40% of Italy's olive oil and a large proportion of its wine. There is a wealth of incredible food to try - all locally grown and delicious beyond compare - from orecchiette (the classic Puglian pasta) to burrata to fresh sea food.
